We are Christine and Vincent, parents of Matthieu, Daphné, Joséphine and Barthélémy. We have been living in France, in Le Mans, for 15 years. We love hiking in the mountains, sailing, manual activities, scouting, seeing our friends and discovering new cultures.
We have been in contact with L’Arche de La Ruisselee (Sarthe) and L’Arche de La Rebellerie (Anjou) communities for several years. Each time, we are moved by meeting members of these communities.
We have been hearing about “L'Arche” since we were children, but despite our recent links with communities in the West of France, we find that we still know very little about what makes up the spirit of L'Arche. As a couple, we want to get on the roads of Europe to discover how each community is living the mission of L'Arche, to understand what unites all of them, and to discern how to commit ourselves to a community after we get back home. Some of our children have chosen to come with us on this journey and live these moments.
We wish to share what we will experience and what we will receive in each community with the others on our journey. Despite the language barrier, we would like to contribute to their activities, participate in community events, help them in the daily tasks, collect testimonies and smiles, and share them on our journey.
Why subscribe?
We will travel from the beginning of July to the end of December 2021. Our stages will ideally lead us to a community in a new country, for two weeks and then a week of rereading, visits and change of country. So there are 8 to 9 communities with whom we would like to share our time. We will house by our own means close to the communities. Our children will continue their schooling online and we would be happy if they could meet young people of their own age at each stage. Finally, we will put our talents and joy of life at the service of each of the communities we meet.
